Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Travel Nursing Job – 13-Week Assignment in Highlands, North Carolina
Join our healthcare team as a Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Highlands, North Carolina. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers an experienced LPN the opportunity to provide compassionate bedside care on 12-hour night shifts while enjoying the welcoming mountain community and outdoor recreation of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Travel LPN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,230-$1,300
- Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg)
- Job Location: Highlands, North Carolina
- Healthcare Setting: On-site patient care environment

- Assignment End Date: November 9, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Requirements
- Active LPN/LVN license eligible for practice in North Carolina
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain certification before the assignment begins
- Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in an on-site medical-surgical care environment
- Commitment to safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care
Med/Surg LPN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and promptly communicate concerns to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established policies
- Complete focused nursing assessments, documentation, care planning, and patient education
- Collaborate with registered nurses, providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Promote patient comfort, safety, mobility, and continuity of care throughout each shift
