LPN Job Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or comparable inpatient setting
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour weekly schedule
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient-care skills
- Ability to work effectively with registered nurses, providers, therapists, patients, and families
- Commitment to safe, compassionate nursing care and evidence-based clinical practices
Medical-Surgical LPN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care and clinical support to patients in a medical-surgical environment
- Administer medications and treatments within the scope of LPN practice
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate clinical team members
- Perform focused assessments and document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Assist with activities of daily living, comfort measures, mobility, and personal care
- Follow individualized care plans, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
