Medical-Surgical LPN Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in an inpatient medical-surgical setting
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and communicate concerns promptly to the registered nurse and healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments within the scope of LPN practice
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, comfort measures, and patient education
- Collaborate with registered nurses, providers, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and continuity of care throughout each shift
