Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent Newborn Nursery, Special Care Nursery (SCN), or NICU experience required
- 2+ years of SCN or NICU experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- STABLE certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and newborn assessment skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, family-centered care to newborns in the nursery setting
- Monitor infant status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Support families with education, reassurance, and confidence in newborn care
- Collaborate with neonatology and NNP support available 24/7
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and follow unit protocols
- Work closely with the care team to promote positive outcomes for newborns
- Contribute to a supportive, efficient, and patient-focused environment
