Progressive Care Unit RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in Florida
- At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit or PCU nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Progressive Care nursing experience with the ability to care for patients requiring close monitoring and complex interventions
- Ability to float as needed, including to other Progressive Care units, ED Hold, and affiliated campuses
- Strong communication, adaptability, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
- Education credentials must be verifiable; candidates without documented degree accreditation must have at least 5 years of relevant nursing experience
- Ability to meet all onboarding and documentation requirements before the scheduled start date
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients in accordance with established standards and protocols
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
- Administer medications and treatments, complete nursing assessments, and document care accurately in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Manage a typical assignment of 5-6 patients while prioritizing safety, quality, and timely care
- Float to designated units, ED Hold, or affiliated campuses when operational needs require
- Contribute positively to the unit culture and function as an engaged member of the Progressive Care care team
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and clinical practice standards throughout each shift
