Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent physician experience in obstetrics and gynecology
• Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Arizona physician license, or ability to obtain Arizona licensure in accordance with start-date requirements
• Current DEA registration
• Ability to provide required credentialing documentation, including recent case logs and vaccination status
• Ability to complete required Cerner training and orientation before beginning clinical services
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and commitment to high-quality patient care

OB/GYN Physician Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital setting
• Manage approximately 0-1 deliveries per shift, based on department volume
• Respond to an average of 0-2 callbacks per shift and address urgent clinical needs
• Provide OB coverage for the certified nurse-midwife team when needed
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, perform appropriate procedures, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner
• Participate in required clinical communication, handoffs, and follow-up care
