Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Pomona, California
Seeking a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Pomona, California. - Orientation: 36 hours

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
- At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Demonstrated experience caring for stroke patients
- Telemetry nursing experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to float between medical-surgical, telemetry, and combined MS/Tele units
- Strong adaptability and willingness to care for patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, oncology, and general medical diagnoses
- Electronic health record experience, preferably with Cerner
- Previous travel nursing experience is welcome but not required
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in medical-surgical and telemetry settings
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize, interpret, and respond to dysrhythmias
- Assess and manage patients with stroke-related conditions and other complex medical diagnoses
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
- Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate care team
- Float between MS, Tele, and MS/Tele units based on staffing and patient-care needs
- Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams
- Complete accurate clinical documentation and participate in handoffs and interdisciplinary care planning
- Support a professional, respectful, and patient-centered care environment
