ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Travel Nursing Contract in Vallejo, CA

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
- Location: Vallejo, California
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810-$2,960
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: November 15, 2026
- End Date: February 13, 2027
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Work Setting: On-site adult intensive care unit
ICU Registered Nurse Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the past 3 years
- Recent ICU nursing experience required; 2 years of intensive care experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related degree preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred
- Dialysis, SLED, or equivalent critical care experience preferred
ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the intensive care unit
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in acuity, and implement timely clinical interventions
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Support patients requiring advanced critical care therapies, including dialysis or SLED when qualified
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively during patient handoffs
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and evidence-based nursing practice
