Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist
• Current Ohio radiologic technologist license or applicable compact authorization in hand at the time of submission
• Current MRI-related certification or registration appropriate to the role and practice setting
• Ability to safely operate MRI equipment and follow MRI screening and safety protocols
• Strong patient-care, communication, and teamwork skills
• One professional reference
• Ability to meet all requirements for a travel healthcare assignment

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to established imaging protocols and department standards
• Verify patient identity, review orders, obtain relevant clinical history, and complete MRI safety screening
• Explain procedures clearly, prepare patients for imaging, and promote comfort and cooperation
• Operate MRI equipment safely while maintaining image quality and adhering to MRI safety practices
• Recognize and respond appropriately to patient needs or changes in condition during examinations
• Document procedures accurately and communicate pertinent findings or concerns to the appropriate care team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe diagnostic imaging environment
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care
