Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – New Jersey Contract Nursing Job

Endoscopy RN Job Details
- Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Nursing Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Call Requirement: One call requirement; additional details to be determined
- Work Setting: On-site gastrointestinal procedural care environment
Endoscopy Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
- At least 1 year of professional registered nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred and may be required based on assigned procedural responsibilities
- Previous experience in endoscopy, gastrointestinal nursing, surgical services, critical care, emergency nursing, or another procedural setting preferred
- Strong patient assessment, communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to provide safe, attentive nursing care in a fast-paced procedural environment
Endoscopy RN Responsibilities
- Provide intraprocedural nursing care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures
- Complete pre-procedure nursing assessments and promote patient readiness and safety
- Monitor patients during procedures and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and support sedation-related care within scope of practice and applicable protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia professionals, technicians, and other members of the endoscopy procedural team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support effective patient handoffs
- Follow infection prevention, emergency response, and patient safety standards
- Participate in the assigned call rotation
