Travel Cath Lab Technologist Job Details
- Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital Cath Lab
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490-$2,670
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8-hour variable day shifts, typically 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- Call Requirements: Minimum of one call shift per week; weekends and holidays as needed based on call coverage
- Float: May float within the facility and to affiliated locations within the technologist’s demonstrated skill set
Cath Lab Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Cardiac Catheterization Technologist
- Previous travel assignment experience required; applicants must have completed at least one prior travel contract
- Associate degree or certificate in an appropriate radiologic or cardiovascular technology program
- Either ARRT certification with an active Wisconsin Radiographer license, or RCIS certification
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency scrubbing interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, and structural heart procedures
- Ability to meet applicable travel assignment eligibility requirements, including the 50-mile radius rule
- Ability to provide a 30-minute response when assigned to call
Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, vascular, and structural heart procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for scheduled and emergent cases
- Maintain sterile technique and support the procedural team throughout each case
- Monitor and respond to patient and procedural needs in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized Cath Lab and interventional equipment within scope of practice
- Support on-call coverage, including weekend and holiday assignments as needed
- Float to other approved departments or locations when required and when assignments align with demonstrated competencies
