Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Medical-Surgical | 12-Hour Night Shift | Rhinelander, WI
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) needed for a six-week travel healthcare contract in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Join a supportive hospital team and provide hands-on patient care on a medical-surgical unit while enjoying Wisconsin’s scenic Northwoods.
Travel CNA Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,010-$1,090
- Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital medical-surgical unit
- Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
- Contract Length: 6 weeks
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
- Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
- Orientation: 8 hours
- On-Call Requirements: May be placed on call due to low census; callback minimum is 2 hours
- Floating: May be scheduled to support nearby regional locations as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Uniform: Clean, professional, work-appropriate scrubs of any color
Certified Nursing Assistant Job Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Valid Wisconsin CNA certification
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 1 year of CNA experience
- Recent inpatient hospital experience is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in the required weekend and holiday rotation
- Comfort with electronic health record (EHR) documentation; Epic experience preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and direct patient-care skills
Medical-Surgical CNA Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Assist medical-surgical patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Measure and document vital signs, intake and output, and other patient observations according to unit standards
- Support safe patient transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and fall-prevention practices
- Observe patient conditions and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient-care environment
- Accurately document patient care and observations in Epic
- Collaborate with nurses and the broader healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float to nearby locations when scheduled and adapt to changing census and patient-care needs
