Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Ironwood, Michigan
• Travel Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based physical therapy with outpatient clinic float coverage
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380-$2,550
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel physical therapy contract
• Schedule: Weekday daytime schedule, generally 7:30/8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with a shorter Friday to complete 40 hours
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: Approximately one weekend per month; callback minimum is 2 hours
• Documentation System: Epic EMR

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Michigan
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to provide skilled physical therapy care across inpatient and outpatient environments
• Strong adaptability, resilience, communication skills, and a collaborative approach
• Ability to comply with applicable facility health and safety policies

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with professional standards of practice
• Provide skilled physical therapy treatment to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
• Treat orthopedic and postoperative conditions, including total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
• Provide outpatient neurological and general medical rehabilitation services
• Deliver therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including coverage at an outpatient clinic as needed
• Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions, and support safe functional improvement
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes accurately in Epic to meet regulatory and reimbursement requirements
• Participate in the rotating weekend on-call schedule and respond to callback needs when required
