Travel Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) – Hospital Polysomnography Contract in Mason City, Iowa
Join a hospital team in Mason City, Iowa, as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) supporting overnight diagnostic sleep studies. Travel Sleep Technologist Job Details
- Location: Mason City, Iowa
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520-$1,640
- Specialty: Hospital Sleep Technology / Polysomnography
- Setting: EEG/Neuro Testing
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:30 PM-6:30 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week

Sleep Technologist and RPSGT Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a Sleep Technologist or Polysomnography Technologist
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential required
- Demonstrated competency performing and monitoring overnight polysomnographic studies
- Strong patient-care, communication, documentation, and technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and remain attentive throughout extended monitoring periods
- Successful completion of required facility onboarding and competency processes
Polysomnography Technologist Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and equipment for overnight diagnostic sleep studies
- Apply and verify electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment according to established protocols
- Monitor patients and record data throughout each study, recognizing and addressing technical issues as needed
- Document patient observations, interventions, sleep events, and study information accurately
- Provide clear explanations and supportive patient care before, during, and after testing
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized testing environment while following applicable clinical and department procedures
