Travel Nursing Job Details

• Additional Expectations: Work at least every other holiday and float to comparable units caring for the same patient population when needed.

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Strong telemetry knowledge and ECG rhythm-recognition skills
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm-recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• All required certifications must be active and in hand before the assignment begins
• Ability to complete required pre-assignment documentation, screening, and orientation activities

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards of care
• Complete patient assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, rehabilitation professionals, case management, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Prioritize care for multiple patients while maintaining quality, safety, and infection-prevention standards
• Float to comparable units, including other medical-surgical areas and the emergency department, as needed to support patient care
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing education requirements
