Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner Requirements

• At least 1 year of nurse practitioner experience; hematology/oncology or outpatient oncology experience is strongly preferred
• Active nurse practitioner license eligible for practice in California
• Active DEA registration
• Board certified or board eligible
• Current BLS certification
• Two years of current inpatient clinical activity in the specialty, with case logs available for privileging review
• Current CV and complete credentialing documentation
• Ability to meet facility privileging requirements and maintain a clean professional file

Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients receiving outpatient hematology/oncology care
• Provide follow-up care, treatment planning, symptom management, and coordination of services
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
• Work in a clinic connected to an infusion treatment center and hospital-based services
• Complete timely documentation and communicate changes in patient condition or treatment needs
• Manage an expected volume of approximately 12-14 patient encounters per shift
