Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in South Boston, VA

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370

Telemetry RN Job Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent telemetry or acute care nursing experience
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Ability to work scheduled 12-hour night shifts in an on-site hospital setting
- Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, as required by the facility
Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients on a telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition
- Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments and promptly communicate clinical changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and patient progress accurately
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and continuity of care throughout each shift
