Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Somerset, Kentucky

Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860-$1,960
- Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)

- Nursing Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional Registered Nurse experience, preferably in an emergency department or acute care setting
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Kentucky
- Current required nursing credentials and certifications must be completed before the start date
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts and maintain 36 hours per week
- Travel assignment eligibility: Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the assignment location
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide timely, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a broad range of urgent and emergent conditions
- Perform focused patient assessments, identify changes in clinical status, and prioritize care according to acuity
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support effective diagnosis and treatment
- Assist with emergency procedures and respond promptly to rapidly changing clinical situations
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
