Interventional Radiologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,480-$7,670
- Employment Type: Local per diem locum tenens
- Location: Boynton Beach, Florida
- Healthcare Setting: On-site, hospital-based radiology coverage
- Schedule: Saturday and Sunday evenings, 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
- Shifts per Week: 2
- Shift Duration: 5 hours
- Practice Mix: Approximately 60% interventional radiology and 40% diagnostic radiology
- Coverage Area: Hospital sites in the Boynton Beach area
- Documentation System: PowerScribe
- Productivity Expectation: 50 RVUs per 5-hour shift
Interventional Radiology Physician Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience practicing as an Interventional Radiologist
- Board certification or eligibility within 5 years in Interventional Radiology or Radiology
- Ability to perform interventional radiology procedures and interpret general diagnostic studies across multiple imaging modalities
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and medical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently during evening radiology coverage
- Current Florida medical licensure and all required credentials for practice in Florida
Interventional Radiologist Responsibilities
- Provide on-site evening coverage for interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging services
- Perform and interpret interventional radiology studies and procedures within the scope of practice
- Read general diagnostic imaging across mixed modalities, including CT, MR, ultrasound, radiography, nuclear medicine, and fluoroscopy
- Collaborate with referring providers and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment planning
- Complete accurate, timely radiology reports using PowerScribe
- Meet the expected productivity standard of 50 RVUs per 5-hour shift while maintaining high-quality patient care
- Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent imaging needs
