Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,590-$1,700
- Location: Mason City, Iowa
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy
- Assignment Type: Travel respiratory therapy
- Start Date: October 4, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 2, 2027
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Rotating
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience in a hospital or acute-care setting
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or respiratory therapist license/certification eligible for practice in Iowa
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based respiratory care
- Strong respiratory assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage
- Successful completion of required facility onboarding, competency validation, and compliance screening
Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions throughout the hospital
- Perform respiratory therapy procedures and deliver prescribed respiratory treatments
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to support individualized respiratory care plans
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital policies and respiratory care safety standards
- Respond effectively to urgent and emergent respiratory care needs
