Travel Nursing Job Details

- Assignment Length: 90 days, approximately 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.
- Schedule: Three shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Work Setting: On-site hospital assignment
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current clinical knowledge of maternal, fetal, and newborn care
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts and maintain a 36-hour weekly schedule
- Strong patient assessment, communication, teamwork, and emergency response skills
- Ability to meet all applicable facility and travel assignment credentialing requirements
Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments, perform nursing assessments, and document patient care accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, newborn care providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Support patients and families through education, communication, and individualized birth care
- Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations in the Labor & Delivery setting
- Promote a respectful, patient-centered environment for every family served
