ICU Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Longview, Texas
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460-$1,540
- Assignment: 13-week travel RN contract
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Healthcare Setting: On-site Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Call: No call requirement
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 or 1:2 in the ICU; float assignments may include a 1:4 ratio
- Dress Code: Solid-color scrubs
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in Texas
- At least 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Ability to provide safe, effective care for high-acuity patients and manage a 1:1 or 1:2 assignment
- Ability to float to step-down or progressive care units as needed
- Travel nursing assignment eligibility, including residence more than 50 miles from the facility
ICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Assess patient conditions, identify changes in clinical status, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols
- Monitor complex patients requiring close observation, advanced support, and frequent reassessment
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Float to designated high-acuity or progressive care areas when needed while maintaining safe patient care standards
- Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment throughout each shift
