Respiratory Therapist Travel Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730-$1,860
- Location: Muskogee, Oklahoma
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 06:45-19:15
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Assignment Dates: October 26, 2026-December 29, 2026
- Start Requirement: Candidates must be available to start by October 26, 2026, or within two weeks of receiving an offer
- Work Arrangement: On-site
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
- Recent experience with ventilators, ventilator weaning, tracheostomies, endotracheal tubes, CPAP, BiPAP, and nebulizer treatments
- Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) RRT or CRT credential
- Valid Oklahoma respiratory therapist license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital environment
Hospital Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services for inpatients and outpatients
- Follow approved respiratory care protocols, medical staff guidelines, and department policies
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures
- Administer medicated aerosol treatments using medical compressed gas
- Maintain airways and provide ventilator management and weaning support
- Perform or assist with endotracheal intubations and tracheostomy-related care
- Insert arterial lines and obtain blood gas samples as appropriate
- Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac and pulmonary stress testing
- Monitor patient responses and communicate changes in respiratory status to the care team
