Travel RN Job Details
- Specialty: Telemetry / Progressive Care Registered Nurse
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
- End Date: December 28, 2026
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: Not required
- Healthcare Setting: Inpatient progressive care and medical-surgical overflow unit
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 to 1:6, dependent on patient acuity
- Documentation System: Cerner
Telemetry / Progressive Care RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent progressive care or telemetry nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in North Carolina
- Telemetry competency
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to care for patients with varied medical-surgical and step-down needs
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- Positive, compassionate, patient-focused approach and strong teamwork skills
Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care to telemetry, progressive care, and medical-surgical patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
- Complete assessments, administer medications, provide treatments, and evaluate patient responses
- Care for short-stay patients and individuals requiring varied levels of inpatient care
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, nursing assistants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Promote patient education, comfort, safety, and quality outcomes
- Accurately document nursing care and clinical updates in Cerner
- Adapt to changing assignments and float to other units when required
