Travel Cath Lab Technologist Job Details

• Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830-$3,040
• Assignment Type: 13-week cardiac cath lab travel assignment
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care, Level I trauma environment
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
• Shift Times: Varying day shifts beginning at 5:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., or 7:30 a.m.
• Call Requirements: Approximately one call shift per week and one weekend of call every three to four weeks, as needed; 30-minute response time
• Department: Cardiac Cath Lab with eight fluoroscopy rooms and one minimally invasive room
• Documentation and Equipment: EPIC, XIM, Pyxis, Xcelera, Siemens, and Philips fluoroscopy systems

Cath Lab Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist, or Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience with the ability to scrub, circulate, and monitor procedures
• RCIS or RCES certification preferred
• Ability to participate in scheduled and as-needed call coverage with a 30-minute response time
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced procedural environment

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral and vascular procedures
• Support right- and left-heart catheterization procedures
• Assist with device cases and electrophysiology procedures as needed
• Prepare and maintain the cardiac catheterization procedure room, equipment, and supplies
• Operate and document within applicable imaging, monitoring, and electronic medical record systems
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary procedural team to promote safe, efficient patient care
• Respond to call assignments and report promptly when coverage is required
• Complete department orientation focused on XIM monitoring and effective scrubbing and circulating practices
