Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Travel Nursing Contract in Pontiac, Michigan
Join our emergency department team as an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Pontiac, Michigan. Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with a wide range of urgent and emergent needs in this fast-paced, on-site healthcare opportunity. Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Pontiac, Michigan
- Unit: Emergency Department
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Work Setting: On-site
Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Michigan
- At least 1 year of recent emergency department or emergency room nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Perform timely nursing assessments and prioritize care for patients presenting with emergent and urgent conditions
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Support a safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency department environment
