Travel Physical Therapy Job Details

• Location: San Antonio, Texas
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690-$1,820
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel physical therapy assignment
• Start Date: July 13, 2026
• End Date: October 12, 2026
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Approximately 36 guaranteed hours per week; weekend availability required
• Call Requirement: No call
• Patient Population: Adult acute care and rehabilitation patients
• Documentation System: Meditech electronic medical record
• Dress Code: Olive green scrub tops with black scrub pants

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Texas Physical Therapist (PT) license
• At least 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
• Acute care experience preferred; rehabilitation or acute rehabilitation unit (ARU) experience is a plus
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and clinical priorities in a hospital setting
• Willingness to work weekends
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to learn new workflows and use electronic medical records; Meditech experience is preferred
• Commitment to HIPAA, patient safety, hospital policies, and evidence-based physical therapy practices

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate adult acute care and rehabilitation patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Provide safe and effective physical therapy interventions to support mobility, function, and recovery
• Screen patients to determine appropriate therapy needs and level of care
• Make clinically appropriate discharge recommendations and coordinate transitions of care
• Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge planning accurately in Meditech
• Use durable medical equipment and exercise equipment to support patient mobility and rehabilitation goals
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Float between adult acute care and rehabilitation areas as needed
