Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Muskegon, Michigan
Experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses can join an on-site emergency department team in Muskegon, Michigan, and provide compassionate, evidence-based care during a 12-week travel nursing assignment. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Muskegon, Michigan
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing assignment
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 10, 2027
- Duration: Approximately 12 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 3:00 PM-3:30 AM
- Weekend and Holiday Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Work Setting: On-site Emergency Department
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
- At least 1 year of recent emergency department or emergency room nursing experience
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to provide safe, effective emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment
- Current required clinical certifications and successful completion of facility-specific competency and onboarding requirements
- Willingness to work night shifts, alternating weekends, and alternating holidays
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and identify patients requiring immediate intervention
- Deliver compassionate Registered Nurse care to patients across the emergency care continuum
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and escalate concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and discharge information accurately
- Support effective patient flow, care transitions, and patient and family education
- Maintain a calm, professional presence while caring for patients and families during urgent situations
