Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840-$1,940
- Specialty: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

- Schedule: 36 hours per week

- Department Profile: 30 physical beds plus 8 hallway beds, with an approximate 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Documentation: Meditech electronic medical record (EMR)
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Texas
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, adaptable, and team-oriented approach to patient care
Emergency Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent medical conditions
- Perform focused patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, and continuously evaluate patient responses
- Prioritize care for multiple patients in a high-volume Emergency Department environment
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention
- Perform IV starts, blood draws, medication administration, and other essential emergency nursing procedures
- Assist with moderate sedation and time-sensitive emergency treatments as directed by the care team
- Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, cardiac monitors, ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, rapid infusers, and portable EKG machines
- Collaborate effectively with providers, paramedics, support staff, patients, and families
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in Meditech
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-centered Emergency Department culture
