Travel Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Asheville, NC
Join a collaborative orthopedic care team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) providing exceptional surgical and orthopedic patient care in Asheville, North Carolina. Orthopedic Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to practice in North Carolina
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience
- Orthopedic, surgical, or post-operative nursing experience preferred
- Strong patient assessment, communication, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Current clinical credentials required for the assignment and applicable regulatory standards
Orthopedic Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before and after orthopedic procedures
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor clinical status, and promptly identify changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments while following established safety and documentation standards
- Support pain management, mobility, wound care, infection prevention, and post-operative recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, recovery expectations, mobility precautions, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote a positive, patient-centered care experience
