Travel Med/Surg Telemetry RN needed for a 13-week night-shift assignment in Tucson, Arizona. Provide high-quality acute-care nursing in a fast-paced float pool while supporting multiple departments and area facilities.

Travel RN Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, with consideration for a 48-hour schedule
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Healthcare Setting: On-site float pool assignment across multiple departments and area facilities
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 6:1
- Scrub Color: Any color
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- At least 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a float pool nursing role
- Willingness to float between departments and multiple area facilities as needed
- Cerner electronic medical record experience preferred
Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during overnight shifts
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and promptly recognize changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
- Complete accurate patient assessments, clinical documentation, care planning, and handoff communication
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Float between departments and facilities while maintaining consistent, high-quality patient care
- Support safe staffing practices and manage care for an approximately 6:1 patient assignment
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
