Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry Night Shift in Milton, MA

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470-$2,600
- Location: Milton, Massachusetts 02186
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2027
- End Date: February 27, 2027
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call hours
- Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical Telemetry float pool
Travel RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent acute-care Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent education
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Recent Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience
- Strong ability to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and dysrhythmias; dedicated telemetry technicians are not available
- Successful completion of required dysrhythmia and medication assessments before acceptance, with a minimum passing score of 85%
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and escalate concerns promptly
- Continuously monitor and independently interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and patient-specific plans of care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Float between appropriate units as assigned while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical quality
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
