Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Winchester, MA

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
- At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Recent experience using Epic electronic medical records
- Ability and willingness to float between assigned inpatient units
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established standards
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Float to various inpatient units based on staffing and patient-care needs
- Document patient care accurately in the Epic electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families and support safe transitions of care
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions
