- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Orientation: 16 hours
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or combined specialty experience
- Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months is required
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
- Ability to work every other holiday
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to a medical-surgical telemetry patient population
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, complete assessments, and carry out physician orders accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Document care thoroughly and accurately in Epic electronic health records
- Prioritize patient safety, timely interventions, and clear communication throughout the shift
- Adapt to a dynamic acute care environment while maintaining professionalism and excellent bedside care
