Job Details
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse
- Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
- Location: Madison, WI 53792
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, typically 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Pattern: 3×12 preferred; 4×12 may be accommodated
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required; some holidays may be required
- Floating: Required to support Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, Medical Surgical ICU, and IMC/Progressive Care as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty submitted
- Travel nursing experience required
- Strong ICU experience across multiple critical care units
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation experience required
- Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
- NIHSS and TNCC are highly valued
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to complex adult and geriatric patients in a critical care setting
- Care for patients with diverse diagnoses across ICU, IMC, Progressive Care, and general care populations
- Monitor telemetry, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status with precision and attention to detail
- Support ventilated patients and advanced critical care therapies as needed
- Float to multiple ICU specialties based on unit needs and patient acuity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
- Adapt quickly to changing assignments while maintaining calm, professional patient care
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment that values flexibility, skill, and clinical excellence
