Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Columbus, Ohio

Job Details
- Position: Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Columbus, Ohio
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Schedule: Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: May float within the organization as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Adults with medical diagnoses and pre/post-surgical patients, including higher-acuity PCU-level care
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry, PCU, or comparable acute care experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Ability to work nights, every other weekend, and float as needed
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to adapt in a mixed-acuity environment
- Comfort supporting first-time travelers with a professional, team-oriented approach
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize, report, and escalate dysrhythmias or changes in patient condition
- Manage IV therapies, medications, and common telemetry and stepdown interventions
- Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, wound care, line management, and other progressive nursing interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and other clinical support services
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
- Float to other units within the organization when needed based on staffing and patient care needs
- Deliver high-quality nursing care while helping create a positive patient experience
