Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Travel Assignment in Columbus, Ohio

- Schedule: Rotating day and night schedule; assignment rotates every 4 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule period
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required
- Previous telemetry nurse experience required
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
- Experience with any charting system required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a rotating-schedule environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and manage IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
- Support patients with conditions such as oncology-related diagnoses, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, abnormal labs, and post-procedure needs
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to respond to rapid changes and escalate concerns when needed
- Maintain accurate charting and clinical documentation throughout the shift
- Follow safety, isolation, and infection-control protocols in a secure care environment
- Float within the organization as needed and adapt to unit needs with professionalism
