Travel PACU Registered Nurse – Salem, Massachusetts

Job Details
- Position: PACU Registered Nurse (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 18, 2026
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Location: Salem, MA 01970
- Patient Population: Adult
- Setting: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Job Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; PACU, perioperative, post-op recovery, or acute care experience preferred
- Current AHA ACLS and PALS certifications
- Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical critical thinking skills
- Ability to read telemetry strips and respond confidently to changing patient conditions
- Experience with electronic charting systems preferred
- Comfort working assigned night shifts in a team-oriented healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive post-anesthesia nursing care to adult patients recovering from procedures
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and overall recovery progress in the PACU
- Perform thorough nursing assessments and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
- Administer medications and supportive interventions according to established protocols
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Support patient education and discharge readiness as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and fellow nurses to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Contribute to a professional, efficient, and compassionate recovery environment
