- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Setting: Intensive Care Unit / Critical Care
- Location: Ontario, OH 44906
- Start Date: 11/30/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Schedule Note: Every-other-weekend coverage required; willingness to float to nearby campuses as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent, continuous ICU nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Prior travel nurse experience required
- Valid state RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with electronic charting systems required; Epic experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills in dysrhythmia management, arterial line management, central line care, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, suctioning, and isolation precautions
- Ability to float to other campuses when needed
- Must be able to return within 1 hour if placed on call
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and manage drips according to facility protocols
- Support ventilated patients and operate advanced respiratory equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies and clinical standards
- Adapt to unit needs, including floating between campuses when census changes
