Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job in Lander, Wyoming

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Location: Lander, WY 82520
- Setting: On-site hospital Med/Surg unit
Job Requirements
- Current RN license in Wyoming or a valid multi-state RN license
- At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- PALS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to care for adult medical-surgical patients, with occasional pediatric/adolescent patients as needed
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and time management skills
- Comfort working in a flexible environment and floating as census requires
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, individualized nursing care to Med/Surg patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions in accordance with nursing standards
- Record patient information, vital signs, and clinical updates accurately and on time
- Monitor specialized equipment and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Deliver bedside care for pre-operative, post-operative, and general medical patients
- Perform treatments such as dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV starts as needed
- Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and home care needs
- Assist providers during examinations and treatment
- Participate in discharge planning and respond to urgent or life-saving situations when required
- Document care thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner
