Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Toledo, Ohio
Join a fast-paced Labor & Delivery nursing team in Toledo, Ohio, for a 13-week travel nurse assignment with the opportunity to provide compassionate, high-acuity care to mothers, newborns, and families.
Overview
As an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will deliver evidence-based obstetric nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, triage, and women’s health settings. This travel nursing job is ideal for a strong RN who thrives in a dynamic hospital environment and is confident supporting patients through fetal monitoring, maternal assessments, and newborn stabilization.

Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact nursing license eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse experience required
- 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification required
- NCC-EFM certification preferred
- Recent OB, ED, or critical care nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Comfort with fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and maternal/newborn stabilization
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, triage, and newborn care settings
- Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols
- Support electronic fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and care of the mother/fetal dyad
- Assist with resuscitation and stabilization of mothers and newborns when needed
- Educate patients and families on breastfeeding, newborn care, discharge planning, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, NICU, and other care team members to deliver coordinated patient care
- Maintain patient safety, privacy, and high standards of professional nursing practice
