Job Details

- Duration: 19 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $880 – $940
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Shift: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour evenings
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and holidays required
- Location: Geneva, NY 14456
Job Requirements
- Current New York State Nursing Assistant Certification
- BLS certification through AHA or RQI only
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of prior CNA or long-term care experience required
- Ability to provide compassionate, dependable resident care in a fast-paced long-term care environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care
- Provide turning, positioning, skin care, and catheter care as outlined in the care plan
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents in the long-term care setting
- Respond promptly to call lights, alarms, and resident needs
- Assist with nutrition-related needs such as meal delivery, tray setup, feeding, and nourishments
- Support restorative care activities, including range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and proper body alignment
- Monitor for safety concerns, fall risks, and equipment issues, and report promptly to the charge or supervising nurse
- Document care and observations accurately according to policy and procedure
- Honor residents’ rights, preferences, refusals, and concerns with professionalism and respect
