Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience; 1-2 years preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- De-escalation training required
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to perform well in a high-acuity, fast-moving emergency room setting
- Ability to work nights, weekends as scheduled, and adapt to changing patient needs
- Travel candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Required documents must be submitted with the application, including license and certifications
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients across a wide range of acuity levels
- Perform thorough assessments, prioritize care, and respond quickly to changing clinical conditions
- Administer treatments, medications, and interventions according to established emergency nursing protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to support safe, efficient patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
- Support a calm, professional environment through strong de-escalation and patient-centered communication skills
- Work every third weekend and contribute to dependable coverage in a busy ER setting
- Float to Starke ED as needed
