Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry Travel Contract in Columbus, Ohio

Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry RN
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Setting: Adult and geriatric medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts with day and night coverage
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Start Date: 11/2/2026
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Charting System: Epic
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in the specialty area
- Current acute care experience must be active and consistent within the last 12 months
- Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS certification required
- Telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to infection prevention and fall prevention best practices
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leader
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients with med/surg and telemetry needs
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Support patients with common oncology-related diagnoses and complex medical needs
- Administer medications and treatments according to unit protocols and physician orders
- Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention, and fall reduction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient-centered acute care
- Float to other med/surg oncology units as needed
- Deliver compassionate care throughout the treatment journey, including supportive and end-of-life care
