Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Schedule: Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040

- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Setting: 12-bed medical oncology palliative care unit
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience, with current experience in the specialty within the last 12 months
- Active compact or state Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong Med/Surg Tele skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with pain interventions and equianalgesic opioid dosing preferred
- Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
- ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education preferred/required per assignment guidelines
- Professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or other formal leader
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses
- Support symptom management for pain, nausea/vomiting, fatigue, and failure to thrive
- Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and manage therapies safely and accurately
- Implement both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain management strategies
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support goals of care and patient comfort
- Provide patient and family education with empathy, dignity, and respect
- Float to comparable inpatient units when assigned based on staffing needs
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in Epic
