Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN) Travel Assignment – Nashville, TN 37208

Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Setting: 18-bed Med/Surg unit
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Assignment Length: 14 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Yes; 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Location: Nashville, Tennessee 37208
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
Job Requirements
- Active Tennessee RN license or compact multi-state nursing license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
- Current Nursys report required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
- Comfortable floating to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units, as well as Forensics, ED, and Post Partum
- Ability to care for a diverse patient population, including patients from correctional settings
- Must be willing to complete a pre-start EKG test
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
- Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols
- Support patients with telemetry monitoring, wound care, IV management, and related clinical tasks
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float to assigned units as needed to support staffing needs across the facility
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Participate in holiday rotation and adhere to scheduling expectations, including weekend coverage
