Travel Nurse Job Details
- Role: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Tyler, TX 75701
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3×12 schedule
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550-$1,630
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Float: Required to units of equal acuity
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in hand at the time of submission
- At least 2 years of Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, or related acute care experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic charting required
- Strong skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and medical-surgical patient care
- Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
- Monitor telemetry, assess patients, and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support ongoing treatment plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float to units of equal acuity as needed to support patient care needs
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit workflows
- Use strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills to thrive in a travel RN assignment
