- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5-6
Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in hand
- Minimum 1 year of recent registered nursing experience, preferably in telemetry, cardiac, pulmonary, med-surg, or acute care settings
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort caring for patients with cardiac and pulmonary diagnoses
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions
- Monitor patient status, interpret changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient care
- Administer medications, complete assessments, and document care accurately in the electronic health record
- Support patient education, discharge preparation, and ongoing recovery goals
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compassionate care environment
