- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,900 – $2,000
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: May float to meet unit needs
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for assignment in Washington state; compact RN license must be in hand at submission
- At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
- Neurology experience preferred for heavier neuro patient populations; must be comfortable learning and working in a neuro-focused environment
- Experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients and monitoring patients with neurological diagnoses
- Proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to work every other weekend and commit to 3 of the 5 major holidays if assigned
- Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered care for telemetry and neurological patients with complex needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess for changes in condition, and respond appropriately to clinical updates
- Care for post-operative and neurological patients, including those recovering from stroke or other neuro events
- Perform ongoing assessments, document accurately in Epic, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Administer medications and support treatments consistent with telemetry and neuro step-down standards
- Use critical thinking to prioritize care in a 1:4 patient ratio environment
- Adapt to float needs and support unit operations as patient volumes change
- Promote a positive, compassionate patient experience while maintaining high clinical standards
