This 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment is ideal for a critical care RN who thrives in an advanced Neuro ICU setting. You will care for adult patients with stroke, seizure, neuromuscular, traumatic brain injury, and post-operative neurosurgical conditions while gaining specialized neurocritical care experience.
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Registered Nurse
- Specialty: ICU RN, Neuro ICU, Neurocritical Care
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Setting: Neuro ICU / Intensive Care Unit
- Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
Job Requirements
- 2 years of ICU or neurocritical care experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with ventilators, telemetry, IV starts, and intracranial pressure monitoring
- Epic experience preferred
- Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult Neuro ICU patients with complex neurological and post-operative needs
- Monitor and manage mechanically ventilated patients, invasive lines, and intracranial pressure monitoring devices
- Support care for stroke, seizure, traumatic brain injury, and neurosurgical patients
- Perform bedside procedures and assist with advanced interventions as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate documentation and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Float within equivalent or lower-acuity units based on staffing needs
